Capturing the warmth and character of the Burberry Check scarf, a new portrait series features friends of the house Olivia Colman, Amelia Gray, Liu Wen, Lucky Blue Smith, Mona Tougaard, and Tyson Beckford in images showcasing the timeless appeal of the iconic accessory and the individuality of those who wear it.


A hallmark of British craftsmanship, Burberry’s cashmere scarves are woven in Scotland on traditional looms and brushed with teasels for an ultra-soft finish. Established in 1797,  the family-owned Johnstons of Elgin mill has partnered with Burberry for 125 years and has been producing our iconic check scarf since the 1980s.


Continuing to place scarves at the heart of the brand, Burberry has launched a Scarf Bar in stores worldwide, including Hyundai Seoul (South Korea), Ginza (Tokyo, Japan), Plaza 66 (Shanghai, China), Regent Street (London, England), and 57th Street (New York, USA), plus newly opened stores in Iguatemi (São Paulo, Brazil) and Iconsiam (Bangkok, Thailand).

The elegant new setting showcases the house’s soft accessories within a bespoke suite of furniture, inviting customers to explore the heritage and craft behind the iconic British design. A curated selection of scarves – from soft cashmere to silk twill – is presented in a rich palette of colours, patterns and textures, with more than 30 shades of Burberry Check to discover.



Personalised embroidery transforms the check scarf into a unique signature, with new symbols and thread options further expanding the possibilities. The complimentary monogramming service allows customers to add up to five initials and icons, intricately stitched in a chosen colour.

The world of scarves expands online with Virtual Try On. Designed for at home or on-the-go, the interactive experience guides customers in their search for the perfect Burberry scarf, with new lines added – from warm cashmere to lightweight wool, patterned in House Check.
