Speaking Up

We are committed to ensuring we conduct our business with honesty, integrity and in accordance with our Code of Conduct together with applicable laws and regulations.

As an open and caring company, we believe in fostering a culture where everyone feels comfortable speaking up, whether proposing an idea, raising concerns or asking for help.

For concerns of a more serious nature, in countries where we are present and where it is legally permitted, both colleagues and external parties have access to a global confidential helpline to raise their concerns. The service is provided by an independent company and all calls and emails are logged, independently reviewed and responded to.

What type of concerns can be raised?

There are no set limits on what can be reported, but the line should be used for concerns like the below:

  • Criminal offences
  • Safeguarding concerns
  • Failure to comply with legal obligations
  • Breaches of the Anti-Bribery and Corruption policy
  • Financial mismanagement
  • Dangers to the environment and Health & Safety
  • Reputational damage
  • Unauthorised disclosure of confidential information

Please be aware that this service is not for customer service complaints or enquiries, which should instead be raised via [email protected].

Who is able to raise concerns?

Burberry Confidential is a service for colleagues, contractors, vendors and external parties to raise concerns they may have about our business.

When reporting a concern, all individuals will be asked to share their identity. While it is not mandatory and concerns can be reported anonymously, we encourage all individuals to share their name so that we can more thoroughly investigate their concern and swiftly find a resolution.

The identity of all individuals using this service is kept confidential, other than if required by local law or to prevent harm. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern or supports an investigation into a concern, and we will take appropriate action if retaliation occurs or is threatened.

How can concerns be reported?

Concerns can be raised securely via the web on a platform that is hosted by a third party company. Any concerns raised are immediately passed on to trained teams within Burberry for confidential review. The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and in 22 languages.

Please use the QR code and URL to access the platform:

What should we expect after a concern has been reported?

Once we have received the concern, our internal teams will investigate this fully and in a timely manner. During the process the team may require additional information and if this is the case, they will request this via the third party platform shared above.

After logging a concern, all individuals will be given a Report Key and Password, which will enable them to check back and receive any further messages securely and confidentially. To check for further messages, log in to the third party platform above and click the Follow Up tab.

When concluded, a closing report will also be sent to the same Follow Up location.
