A heritage logo

The Equestrian Knight Design (EKD) was crowd-sourced from a public competition to create a new logo for our brand circa 1901, a true testimony to Burberry's dialogue with its communities.

A symbol

The EKD is imbued with symbolism – the knight represents honour, the shield protection and the lance reform.

The banner reads ‘Prorsum’ which translates from Latin to ‘Forward’, signalling the Company’s direction of travel.

An evolution

Under Daniel Lee's creative direction, we have refreshed our iconic EKD.

The EKD logo has featured widely across our collections

The Supreme®/Burberry® collection featured the EKD, bringing a touch of heritage to statement outerwear, leather tracksuits and co-ords.

At our Autumn/Winter 2022 show, the EKD was reimagined in crystal iterations using an oak leaf crest which was widely used throughout the 1990s.

The EKD can be seen across many products in our Winter 2023 collection, appearing thoughtfully and playfully in unexpected ways.
